In the job I work at it consists mostly of women. Among those women, most of them are single mothers. Furthermore, most of them have tramp stamps (usual tramp stamps, tattoos above their breasts, and tattoos above their vaginas); also, a lot of them have tramp markings (tongue rings, bull rings, and navel rings). Now, an activity that I engage in is observing those around me. From my observations, I have overheard some interesting things. I overheard one woman talk about a guy she was with that dumped her because she could not cook and would not cook. She attempted to downplay this by saying she was not bothered by that, but she mentioned that she made certain after that to learn how to cook, and she now cooks for the men, since then, that she dates. Despite this woman attempting to downplay her being dumped by her boyfriend, it is obvious that it left an impression because she now cooks for every man that she dates, despite her complaining about hating to cook for her man. I have noticed highly visible tattoos and multiple body piercings have become the norm now in society. These body modifications used to be the standard norm for alternative culture amongst society. Noticing this self-destructive trend caused me to dig deeper so that I could better understand why people are willfully hindering their chances at growth in the world. Upon observing further, I began to notice a general theme and that is that the people that do these body modifications usually have nothing going for themselves in life, and now that they have branded themselves, they likely never will, unless it is in the alternative culture. I’ve been trying to find a way to explain the African American/Black psychological elements at play here, so non-African Americans/Blacks can understand and relate to the psychological situation at play here. The problem has always been that the term “Running Quarterback, Running QB” has a racist connotation to it. “Running QB” and “Athletic QB” over time have just become politically correct/Benign Neglect ways of saying “Black QB”. Something has been bothering me for the past couple of months! How can the public view of these 2 similar, but different, female athletes be so skewed? These two legends are both great at what they do and will most likely be the bar that future female athletes measure themselves to when they are competing. Both athletes are also very bold, confident, and aggressive when it comes to competition, but there is a huge discrepancy with how the “public” perceives them.
