Lame to the Game
Alright, in this post I’m going to share with you a story from my past that involves a guy that went against the game and got burnt, badly. This story consists of a man that was a roommate of mine for a few months. This story stems from when I was in the military. At my second base, I started out living on base. After I had reached my three-year mark, I was allowed to move off base. Due to this, a guy that I was friends with—and whom I conversed with about my moving off base—suggested that we be roommates. Considering that we were friends, I decided that this was not a bad idea; it would give both of us a chance to stack our money up, even more. Now, when we went to the rental office to sign our name on the lease, this guy had his girlfriend with him. He had just started dating this female shortly before I was to move off base, so I did not think anything of this. Now, when it came time to sign the lease me and him put our names on the paper. He immediately moved into the apartment while I took an extra week to straighten out some matters moving off base and into the apartment. When I got there, I saw him and his girlfriend staying there. Because I knew that he was scheduled to deploy pretty soon, I didn't think much of this. I figured that she was just spending as much time with him as possible before his deployment—due to the possibility of her never being able to see him again. For a week, they lived together while I stayed there as well. From here, they went back to his hometown to visit his parents. They stayed gone for about three weeks before returning. Now--one day as I was arriving home--I noticed his girlfriend there, but he was not there. Due to this, this prompted me to do a little investigating—aka asking him when he was supposed to deploy. From here, I found out that he was not going to be deploying for another two months. Due to finding this out, I inquired about when his girlfriend was going to be leaving--since she did not live with us. This is when I first found out that she actually did live with us. Since he told me this, I told him then we need to go to the leasing office and have her put her name on the lease so that she can start paying some rent. He told me that she was okay the way she was and that he paid rent on her behalf. Due to this, I said to him that he needs to be paying 67% of the lease then since he has an extra person living with us on his behalf. He said that he wasn’t going to do that. From this, I got infuriated to the point of wanting to fight. I contacted the leasing office and demanded that they evict us since it was against their policy for us to have people living with us that weren't on the lease. Also, during this time, our friendship vanished—due to his unscrupulous lie. Our relationship got so horrible that our supervisors had to step in to mediate—with my supervisor sympathizing with him and his supervisor sympathizing with me. Now, when I spoke to the leasing office, they told me that he would be deploying within a month and would also be taking his name off the lease. After hearing this, I stopped pressing getting us evicted. I let time pass, and he left to go on his deployment. He also took his name off the lease.
Alright, when he got back, he attempted to reconnect with his girlfriend, but she did not want anything else to do with him. She basically dropped him flat, and ultimately moved on. To put it simply, she used him for a place to stay because she was a college student that was on summer vacation and she didn't want to continue lodging within her dorm. She paid her share in the rent by given him pussy, and he foolishly accepted.
By the way--regarding his girlfriend’s character--she had a really nasty personality. One day she got upset at me for answering her phone—after it had been ringing for 10 minutes. A coworker was calling her because they had been on call that weekend and were called in to go to drill the next day. Her drill squadron was out of state, so she needed to leave immediately.
Lastly, in case anyone is wondering why I attempted to get us evicted—it’s because he broke our lease, so I was going to sue him for any charges that I would've incurred.
The moral of this story is don’t be a tender-dick.
